Huila's bountiful forests and farms produce the most coffee in Colombia. Surrounded by the Andes and the Nevado del Huila volcano, the region has the perfect environment for agriculture and consistently produces some of the world's best coffee.

Here, the family-run Cafe Origen producers association organizes their fincas. In service of their goal to provide "fair and equitable treatment and improvement of the quality of life of all those involved in the coffee supply chain," the group grows the highest quality organic coffee for the market.

Huila Excelso starts each sip with a milk chocolate base before pleasantly surprising with red fruits and citrus bursts. Like premium chocolate, it pleases the palate with balanced taste and texture, taking its place as a lovely daily drinker.

To contribute to the conversation around the sustainability of coffee production, Kettleboy joins the movement with the best specialty roasters to encourage transparency in coffee pricing and production. Hopefully, efforts like this one will help improve the understanding of the costs of specialty coffee as a whole, in both the capital and humanitarian sense.
